A chance for me to vent on whatever subject comes up!!

I could bitch and moan about all kinds of things
Especially the b.s. of trying to buy a house
But I ain't gonna do that
I will make a statement to the person or person's in Amsterdam Holland
who broke into our tour bus last November during the bands tour of Europe
YES I know you are surfing this website a lot
YES I know you recently tried to access my Paypal account

I know that you took a laptop, several digital camera's, video Camera's
$500 American cash and every bit of ID I had
Speaking of ID
you might think real hard about getting rid of my Dept Of Defense ID
The USA Gov't will cook your ass if your caught with it
If you haven't figured it out from the things you stole
I am a Global Computer Network Security Expert
Everytime you access my site and or try to get into paypal
I know where it's coming from
So I ain't just some long haired dope smoking hippie-wanna-be rockstar

I'll get to the point

The things you stole have all been replaced
Later that night we all got drunk together and bonded in a way we had never before
Your theivery caused that
For that I thank you

What you took of value was our pictures
There was two weeks worth of tour pictures on that laptop
Memories are always there but the pictures remind you of the memory
If there is anything of value you took, it's that
We all visited my grandfathers grave
I'm sure you've seen the picture on the other pages of this website
That's a still shot from a video camera that you didn't steal because you didn't find it
The photo's are not replaceable
So if it was your intent to cause emotional pain you were successful

I want to thank you for not taking my guitar
The one that was in the case in the back top bunk
IF you had, you'd might as well have taken my leg or heart
So Thanx for leaving it behind

Since your a thief I doubt you beleive in God or Karma
I beleive your stealing on my things is KARMA for my wrong doings of the past
So I hold no grudge
As you can tell it does still piss me off a bit
I only wish you would send me a CD with all of the pictures that I miss
I figure you ran around the corner a block or so away and sold our items to that 'We buy electronics' store
So most likely the photo's are gone
You were my KARMA so beware
someone will deliver yours in time
Maybe while your eating lunch a block away

April 6th 2006

I really need to get a digital camera
I was hangin out on the tour bus last night with Comedian Ron White and Alex Reymundo
If you don't know, Ron was on The Blue Collar Comedy Tour
He's the one that does "They Call Me Tater Salad"
www.tatersalad.com
They had just finished a show in Riverside California
The show was funny
Alex is one of the Latin Kings Of Comedy
www.alexreymundo.com
Hangin' with them afterwards in the bus and the hotel bar
well......that was just a hoot !!!

March 23th 2006

Yes I know I used the TH on the above date
I just wanted to make you think for a second
;-) "Made ya look" :)

I was talking with a friend recently who made what I found
to be a rather disturbing statement
It told me he was actually living his life, in such a manner
He said " I can't wait till I retire, so I can live the life I want to live "

That really blew me away

March 6th 2006

I just love junk e-mails
Hell I know I must need a bigger dick, "Manhood" as they call it
I get at least five e-mails a day telling me so
Dadgum !! So it "must" be true
Ya know I ain't never " Cybered " so how the fuck do they know ??

February 28th 2006

REPORT ON THE HBO-COMEDY CENTRAL TRIP
It was totally badass
It was such a joy to be around positive professional people
It was all top-notch level
There was a 35-member crew
Each having multiple years of experience and were very blown away when they heard me play
Most importantly they were happy to tell me what they thought, as I praised their abilities as well
It made for such a wonderfully warm work environment

They did all the Limo's and red carpet
no kiddin' red carpet, photographers, fans clapping and taking pictures
Being introduced as Phantom-X guitarist Eric Knudson, as I got out of the limo

Chefs from The local Brazilian restaurant were preparing dinner for us
Wardrobe staff, make-up staff,.....I mean they were all people who shoot full length feature films
It was the size of the Bass Hall and was sold out for all four shows
I had my own dressing room with a star and my name on the door with the word "TALENT" underneath it
It was overwelming, but I ate up every damn minute of it

I have no idea when it will air or be out on DVD at Blockbuster yet
Both will happen
I think the working title will be Alex Reymundo "Hick-Spanics"
When I find out for sure I will post it on this site

February 12th 2006

That last post was pretty rigid huh?
It "IS" called The SOAPBOX
Guess I got up on it?
I just hate to see people I care about doing harm to themselves

January 24th 2006

Terry's mother has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer
She was given two months to live
After 40 years of smoking this is the result
Everyone should already know that you are not smoking the cigarette;

IT'S SMOKING YOU

The smoke your exhaling is Tabacco mixed with years off your life going right out of your body
It's really mind boggling how smokers can justify their habit with " Well I'm down to 4 a day"
OR some other silly bullshit thinking that a non smoker is going to buy it
We all die from the choices we make while we are alive
If that's how you wish to check out, go for it
But don't boo hoo to others about your bad choices
or try to bargain with God when the time comes
You made your choice

Not much compassion in this post huh??
Well it could be that I've survived Cancer 12 years now
I've been given a second chance with my life (no it wasn't smoking)
I HOPE I offended you
I HOPE I pissed you off
I HOPE that you think about what you just read for a few days
Maybe it will make you think about your habit
Maybe you don't want to exhale your life away
MAYBE you care enough for those who love you
not to put them thru the anguish of watching you die
from something you had control over

Saturday January 7th 2006

I hope the holidays went well for everyone
I was able to work quite diligently on a DVD to give my Grandmother and family for Christmas
You see my Grandfather was killed in WWII on Christmas day in 1944
During our tour of Europe I made a visit to his grave
I was able to make a DVD of this visit that also included letters
he and my Grandmother had written to eachother during the war
It turned out to be a great gift that was well received by everyone

The New Years gig went well, was fun...and I think we all played it safe with a driver or a cab
There is several things in the works
One of which is to tune into 93.3 The Bone and listen for radio spots advertising our next show
Also we are the "Bone Band Of The Week" on 93.3
DJ Debbie Sexxton and taken a liking to the song "Enchanted"

OK I SUCK. I'LL Try to update shit quicker

It's been tough adjusting back !! DADGUM !!!!

Wednesday Dec 15th

It's been rather tough adapting back to my normal home life
Let's see where do I start back with the road stories
After Prague we went up to Munich and played a cool show
Then the "Fun" started
We entered into Hungary and made our way to Budapest
This was on Thanksgiving day back here in the States
Of course it's not in Budapest
They served us Chili as well as a chicken and rice dish
I was amazed because I actually started to perspire on my face from the chili being spicy
It was a very welcomed sweat since this was the first good spicy food we had been served
The gig went well, although there was some Soap Opera tension going on before the show
It had carried over from Munich
At times tensions were high
I mean hell it was cold, poeple were sick, we had been out of propane to heat our camper since Amsterdam
No one would trade the bottles out since they were from Italy
and many other things

Saturday Dec 3rd HOME

Well after we got off that ship there was never any access to the internet until I got back to London on the way home
So here's a recap of what went down
We drove into Berlin and went to see all the German Hitler stuff
We got some very odd reactions from people when we said HITLER
It's very apparent they don't dig that part of their countries history
In fact a old German cop spit on the ground and stamped it out with his foot, like putting out a cigarette
and said "Fuck Hitler" that was a bit nerve racking especially since we were standing in front of several Embassy buildings
We did find the bunker where he killed hisself as well as the other stuff like the Bradenburg gate
It was damn cold and icey out

We made our way into the Czech Republic to HELLS BELLS
Thats where Sacha Gervasi and his video crew were waiting on us
I stepped off the bus and from then until we left Greece
pretty much had a video camera in my face the whole time
They got some REALLY interesting footage
including Anvil's LIPS and G5 yelling and grabbing the club owner about getting paid
Seems the dude thought he wasn't going to pay them since we were late arriving
I had another few shots of Absynth there too !! haha

Tuesday 29th London England

Its been a freaking whirlwind that you wouldnt beleive if I told ya
Ok well maybe ya would
A screen writer and video team who normally works with Tom Hanks and Steven Speilberg
meet Anvil and Phantom X in Prague and has been shooting
footage of us up to last night when we played Greece
I havent had net access since Germany due to the
countries we played. I never found access !!
Anyhow I'm going to fly home tommorrow and then I will write up the rest of the SAGA and post it
You can bet it will be AFTER I go eat TEX MEX though !!! LOL

Wednesday 23 Munich Germany

Well one of the most enjoyable breaks during the tour was traveling from Sweden into
Germany across the Baltic Sea in a Luxury Cruise Ship !!
We drove our tour bus right into the belly of the ship then went up stairs
It was a 10 level ship with everything
Movie Theater, Eating joints, etc.
But when I found the Jacuzzi, Sauna and showers I was styling most major !!
I looked around while I was in the Jacuzzi and said "Yup I am on tour !!"
After we got off the ship we drove down into Berlin
We stopped to check out
The Brandenburg Gate, The Wall, and after several times of asking we finally found Hitlers Bunker where he shot hisself
Germans responded very odd when we said the word HITLER
It appears they are not happy with their history
One guy referred to it as "The place of Horror"
An old cop spit on the ground and step on his spit moving his foot as if to be
putting a cigarette out when he heard the word HITLER
It was very odd but cool, even the gift I brought home from there
Quite an Original
We got to our show last night in Prague Chec Republic late, due to
the highway being shut down
The building it was in was a very spooky underground tunnel system type place
Being they have only been communism free for 15 years it makes
me wonder what went on there
They had Absyinth there as well, so I drank more !!
Germany also has what they all MEAD which is illegal in the States as well
Its a honey wine, and yes I drank it during the Keep It True Festival
Gotta get ready for tonights gig here in Munich
Hope all is well back home with everyone

Sunday 20th Motala Sweden

Well we have now played twice in Sweden
They are very into heavy metal over here and both gigs were a blast

Its spooky driving up here on icey roads and yes its very cold
A local guy took us to check out some silver mines
not knowing that Glenn would jump the fence and go exploring down into the mine !! haha

He returned to the gig telling everyone we are crazy Americans
The Swedish men are the large Viking types just like me
Now we head South and drive our Buses onto a Ferry to cross the ocean back into Germany
then drive into the Chec Republic to play in Prague
We are all making due with our losses and are shooting as much video as we can
CD sales and shirts are going very well
and, Like Sterling said Get ready dude they are gonna treat you like rockstars
He was right....and its been neat !!

Oh yeah I forgot we stopped in Hamburg Germany on the way here
We went to a bar and watch an Irish guy playing acoustically in a bar called Thomas Reads
He was very good and so was the Absynth we drank
Its illegal in the States so we HAD to drink it !!
Big hugs to all back home and thanx for the e-mails about the theft

Ill get on again when I can
Im currently standing at the counter in a hotel using their pc !! haha

Tuesday 15th Amsterdam

As you know I am out on tour with Phantom-X in Europe
Our camper-bus was broken into while we were eating lunch
We had a lot stolen yesterday including the laptop that had ALL of the pictures I have taken of the whole tour
They got the laptop, a video cam, 2 digital camera's and all of my personals
like my wallet with all of my ID's including my passport and about $500
We've made a police report and realize getting the stuff back will not happen
keep us in your thoughts and prayers for the remainder of the tour if you will
I gotta get over to the Embassy today to get a new passport so that I can return home

Monday 14th Amsterdam

Amsterdam huh ? What happens on the road, STAYS on the road!! haha
Since Paris is burning we cancelled the gig
so we have some days off to hang out
We decided Amsterdam was the place to do it
The guys in ANVIL are quite at home here LOL
The next day or two we shall hunt for a laundry mat since they seem not to exist here
and we are going to try to go visit some old Castles around the area
Here is a photo from our show in Aalst Belgium
I've got tons of photos from the whole tour

Sunday 13th Rotterdam Holland

Ok weve had time to cruise Rotterdam now. It's been funny
We are all currently sitting in an internet cafe checking mail n stuff
Marc and I scoped out some bars that turned out to be something other than just a bar
It was quite funny to watch him get all nervous when he figured out what the girls wanted
The other day we all drove to visit my Grandfathers gravesite in Belgium
It was very emotional for me since I am the only one to ever visit him in the 61 years he's been there
I will add more on this when I return to the States with pictures as well

On a happy note, we have had rave reviews on our CD
One Rock Magazine rated the CD a 10 of 10 stars, but the most important reviews are the folks we play for
have bought the CD and e-mailed us to say that they loved it
We are going to head for Amsterdam and hang out, hopefully find a laundry mat !!
I've been able to get a couple of pictures loaded on here
These are from our show in Frankenthal Germany
Thanx for reading this and I will add more posts as soon as I can

Friday Nov 11 Rotterdam Holland

This gig went very well and was a blast
We haven't had any time to cruise Rotterdam to check out the 'coffee' shops
and all the things you hear about Rotterdam and Amsterdam
I do know that we will get to Amsterdam before the tour is over
Seems the Anvil guys have been there before and are destined to go there during our tour
It's been a blast with these guys
We all get along well, laugh, and pull jokes
Tonights big decision is whether or not to go to our gig on the outskirts of Paris

Thursday Nov 10th Belgium

I am in a train station bar-snack place called De Retard
Yeah I know RETARD
But thats not what it means in their language
These folks are very friendly and are buying me Belgium beers
They speak Dutch here, but there is a couple of people who speak english
The beer is wonderful and the bar maid is freaking georgeous
Yes I took pictures
As soon as I log off I am heading for the Cemetary where my grandfather is buried
Thats going to be emotional to say the least
Anyhow I've found that they knew we were coming and told me the good place to eat dinner at Aalst
The owner here is a collector of Jack Daniels goods, so he is giving me
a box of Belgium beer, a T-Shirt with the agreement that when I return to USA I will send him Jack Daniels goodies
I've also told him he's welcome to Texas and can stay at my place if he wishes to come to Dallas
He can bring Heidi the bar maid too !!! haha
I will try to get on again soon and give more reports
Off to the Belgian countryside !!

Tuesday Night DERBY ENGLAND

Well the English country side and the 'chunnel' were not as nice as I figured they would be
Don't wanna sound negative but damn these folks are culinary challenged as well
When I get home we are all going to Joe T. Garcia's for dinner and I'm buying!!
It is very cool to play England. We are gonna check out a Castle on the way out of here I think
I'm starting to get emotional about visiting my grandfathers grave this Thursday
Those who don't know, he was killed X-Mas day 1944 during WWII
I'll be the first of our family to go visit
I have several things I could go on and tell ya about
But time is limited at the moment since I am in the managers office at our gig in Derby
The tour was poorly planned and has been quite the entertainment of stupidity
The gigs are cool and people over here are REALLY into the music we play
I need to go find a shower before Anil finishes their set downstairs
Thanx to those who are taking the time to read this junk
I will log on again when it's available

Late Sunday night Frankenthal Germany

Internet cafes and access over in Europe is not as accessible as weve read
Infact I am standing at the reception desk of my hotel using their pc
So I gotta be brief
My face and stomach hurt from laughing so much
We are having a freaking blast and there is so many stories to tell once I return to the states
The crowds love us and the CD
I was warned before coming over here to BE READY
Even though we are a new band they treat us like long time old bands
Asking for autographs and wanting pictures together
Ive got a chest cold right now that is really sucking to have
As far as stating anything on this posting its this
Heavy Metal is very much alive and well in Germany
The KEEP IT TRUE FESTIVAL was about 5000 people
I hope to get internet access when we get to England in a couple of days
Will post when I can !!

Nov 1st 7:30 am Milan Italy

Holy geez where do I start?
We have had to most wild 48 hours and we havent even played a note yet
Our flight over England was long but ok, other than the screaming brat kicking the seat behind Glenn, Steph, and I
We had our first big laugh when we saw a plane whose airline is called PHUKET AIR
The jokes were plenty from that one
Ive got so much to tell in the last 48 hours, I;ll just get it down to the greatest hits
In our time here we have been worried about whether the guitars were to be delivered; as soon as I got off the plane I got in a car with a Sicilian who drove like nascar for an hour to get to the pick up facility to retrieve the guitars
Our italian tour bus, which is equal to a winnabago in the USA was wrecked within 5 minutes of us all getting into it
our driver HIT the hotel !!
How funny is that? it ripped crap off the side of the bus
So Glenn and Marc, being the musicians they and we all are, ran up to the hotel room and got black duct tape to fix it
After that we got the the pizzaria and had the best pizza any of us has ever had
Its very very strange being the foreigner who doesnt speak or read italian
Once we finished eat, the promotor and the booking agent got us caught in
what we are calling the PROMOTER PARADE TRAP
They took us to a wild ass bar that was packed and showed us off
Its halloween night so they were all festiv and dancing their asses off
Saying they are stuck in the 80s is an understatement
All of the dance music was the early years of MTV
like 1980 to 83
Ya know like Video Killed The Radio Star; dancing to it like it is brand new
On our way to the bar, we got pulled over by the POLICIA
Picture yourself like this;
Ya dont speak or read italian and the cops are telling everyone to get off the bus and out on the street
there was 4 cop cars and several officers
Some of us didnt have our passports and we were being referred too as Illigal immigrants!!
That was rather spooky but worked out
We had gone thru a toll booth and said there was 9 people on board
They had a problem with that, since its only supposed to be 7
So a van of italians show up to take 2 of us off the bus
The van was people the promotor knew
Marc and I got in the van with several people, who of course none spoke English !!
My bought internet access is about to expire so I gotta finish quick
We play our first show tonight and then off to Rome
Will update again as soon as I can

October 29th 2005

Well I'm packed up and have one last show here in Dallas tonight
We hop the plane to Europe tommorrow
I sure hope I don't forget anything
Scrabbled egg brain going over stuff 40 times haha

October 3rd 2005

While in Europe,
I'm going to try to log on as much as possible and keep a "blog" of whats going on
Whenever I can, I will update this page with stories from the road
I got to thinking how cool it would be to read a touring bands diary as they traveled
I'm sure it's been done before, but not by ME for my friends to read !!
SO.....After I take off to Europe, log on every couple of days and see what I've added
I might actually call someone and have them do it for me if the internet
isn't accessible or I don't have the time
any volunteers ?? haha

Sept 22nd 2005

On Sept 14th someone I love and respected passed away suddenly

Darrel Ray Tate

He was a wonderful person and a lot of fun to be around
He was only 47
It was a shock to everyone who knew him
In his HONOR at my show on Friday Sept 16th I wore country style clothing
and made a T-Shirt with his name and 2 pictures of him on it
I had just come from the funeral home for the viewing
prior to the show and had to get up early to make the funeral the next day
Playing the show with a heavy heart was tough
I explained to the crowd in a very choked up voice why I was dressed
in such a way and dedicated my performance that evening to Darrel
My solo included "The Eyes OF Texas" which was also for him
The picture below is from that evening
Good Bye for now my friend
We shall meet again

Sept 7th 2005

The Storm Aide interview Terry Sims and I did live on KZPS 92.5 is now loaded
and should be playing as you read this page

Sept 4th 2005

Obviously the prominent subject of the last week has been Hurricane Katrina
So many horrible things have happened since she came ashore
But many good things have also come from it
Most everyone has come together to donate, assist, and be helpful
I have witnessed acts of selfless kindness, warmth, and compassion, recently that I'm very touched to have seen
KZPS 92.5 contacted me this week asking that DEJA VU do an on air interview
to discuss the Hurricane and a future STORM AIDE concert
So far I know the benefit will be Sunday Sept 18th at several venues within the Deep Ellum area
I will post the news as soon as I receive it
The interview Terry and I did on the Radio will also be posted on this website as soon as I get a copy
Terry also wrote a short letter to all that I will post here as well
Thanx and God Bless

July 09 2005

Downloading MP3's of Bands CD's

Ok so before you get right to pointing your finger at me and saying
" You do it !! So don't preach at me not too ! "
I agree thats a valid arguement, because YES I have
Those who are familiar with my personal life know that I am stuck in the 70's
So what I download is every one hit wonder, hard as hell to find, over 30 year old song, thats disco, Love stuff, rock, etc from the 1970's
Maybe those artists owe me a good ass kickin'
Maybe Not

Being that I have many friends in the music industry, I know that even if
I were to go to Forever Young Records and find a 45 or a cassette of a song this old
the artist gets nothing
basically no one really gets any money other than Forever Young because songs that old are catalog items that will only ever get any money AFTER some new modern artist releases it as a ' my version of an old song '
So I am not affecting the artists means of paying his bills and mortgage

Now that I am on the "Other side " LOL
meaning a modern artist under record contract with a pending CD
due to be release within the next 3 months
I know for a fact that my future ability to be able to record another CD
and experience more tours such as the one we will do in November
is all based upon how many CD's we sell
SELL
Not by how many of our songs are downloaded from
Bearshare, Kazaa, and other file sharing programs
So before you ask me a year from now
"Eric why can't you quite your day job and be a signed touring musician? "
My answer will probably be
"We only sold 5000 cd's, but we were downloaded 68,000 times
I get paid for the CD sells, not the downloads
Without making money we can't make more albums, and I can't quite my day job"

So before you go downloading the latest NEW songs of ANY modern artist or band
know that your hurting the artists ability to pay his bills
and continue living his dream

Did anyone other than me see the moon the last two nights?
Geez how bright and beautiful

Why We Have Memorial Day
